Unity Day 2026

Just a quick little round up from this year’s Unity Day. After growing quite large and raucous again, Unity day has had a bit of a reset in the last couple of years, asiming to focus again on a more stall and market oriented event. This is a bit of a work in progress – the number of stalls promised was not really apparent, and unlike last year I didn’t end up with about 100 cacti…

We were blessed with really great weather again, and spent quite a lot of time sitting around the inflatable stage – the last few tyears I have managed to not see as many actual acts, but this year actually spent most of the event enjoying the music.

Starting the day with Cali and then Obi Joe and Mutual Subjects.

Typically, I misremember most of the bands names, but here’s some from the band tent.

Silverfinger Singh on the inflatable stage were great – especially the percussionist!

A quick wander round to capture the energy of Iration Steppas – the main soundsystem based area remaining.

Back to the inflatable…

The highlight for me was probably China Shop Bull in the band tent – I can’t believe it’s nearly 20 years they have been going in this form!

After this, things got messy… but that’s not a subject for my site…
