Otley

I’ve had to go to Otley for a physio appointment (because in a huge city like Leeds, these things have to be right on the outskirts, making it difficult to take time from work) and as I do, I took my camera along for the ride.

I shot quite a few pictures of ducks. These are really much of a muchness. Ducks are very nice and all that, but not the most exciting subject much of the time.

I am very proud of the swans, in silhouette against the sunlit water, and the telephoto treeline on the Chevin, but I think my standout image is the wier in spate. This was flowing so fast I only needed 1/20s exposure to created this silky blurred abstract.
