Northern Kin

I’ve been a bit slack with the editing recently, and these are long overdue – in these lockdown weeks I have managed to get a few more things done!

Last Summer the pleasure of attending this lovely little festival in Stanhope as guests of Driven Serious for whom my friend was depping on fiddle.

This is a tiny little festival over 2 nights in the grounds of stanhope castle – mostly centred around a large main stage, though there is a small fringe with stalls, kids areas and an acoustic stage.

We actually arrived on the Friday – but very late after a look round Durham while the band were practising, and by this time we were in the reserve camping over the road, but actually I think the view was somewhat better. You can see how gorgeous the camp site is here.

I misremember the full line up, but we watched Driven Serious, Holy Moly and the Crackers, Frocious Dog, a little of Lindisfarne and (about which I was very excited) The Alarm – a band I loved a very long time ago but have not seen for years.

All in all if was great. If I have only one complaint, it would be that had I known we were going to bag AAA wristbands I would have bought my better camera!
