Dereliction in Meanwood

Continuing to explore a little more, I have wandered down Meanwood Road this time, onto the bottom end of Woodhouse Ridge and the bottom of Sugarwell Hill.

I found this old bomb shelter on the ridge – suprisingly relatively safe to enter (i.e not full of shit and needles) which made for a good HDR shot from inside.

There’s more old industrial buildings down the road, in use, but very run down. I love the juxtaposition of the industry, and the woods which were once Victorian public gardens, now an urban re-wilding, but the epitome of parafunctional space.
