Light Night and the Moon

Light Night is an annual arts event in Leeds (and various other cities have similar). It’s always a good event, but the main attraction (for me at least) this year was Luke Jerram’s “Museum of the Moon” – a 7 metre diameter accurately mapped spherical installation of The Moon, suspended over Leeds Dock.

We started out for a quick drink, then wandered down to the Docks joining a fairly steady stream.  The moon was indeed well worth seeing, though this took us a little far out from much of the rest of the night, and by the time we had walked back to town (via a few detours) we were quite tired, so didn’t get to see much more. I had to get up early anyway for a family event, but as ever Light Night is worth a good look round.
