Tropical World

I last went to Tropical World in Roundhay about 20 years ago, still slightly tripping after a Heineken Festival (at the age where it still seemed amusing to try and teach the mynah birds to say “fuck”)…

It’s been very interesting to go there again, with somewhat more maturity, and take the time to practice some nature photography. I’ve been taking a lot of pictures of bugs over the last few months, but this time the mammals and turtles have been very fun, trying to capture their personalities a little.

I also had a good go outside in the Canal Gardens, where the butterflies almost rivalled those inside! The Tamron macro function has been very inspiring!
