Solfest

Just a few shots from This year’s Solfest – more as a quick comment than any quality photography.

As ever, the festival was brilliant fun. I will say this year, there were a couple of issues though – mainly due to space. The Campsites open on Thursday, for those with a pass, though it seems (very similar to Greenbelt, of yore) that you can get on the campsite ticket or not.

While this thankfully does not seem to have led to the massive amount of festival thefts some events experience, it did mean that even ariving at around 5 on Friday we were shunted to overflow, a small field without toilets or water supply (the former was rectified, the latter remained a 10 minute walk, even then they allowed use of the stewards field, which with a 3 gallon waterbrick is quite a trek).

As I said, we still had a great time, but it’s perhaps a reminer that even the best festivals may need to have a think about capacity/infrastructure and reset evey now and again.
