Solfest

Another visit to Solfest, up near Aspatria on the cumbrian coast.

This really is a good event – It gets the right balance between size and scale, being big enough that there’s plenty going on, without being crowded to hell. There’s a 24 hour arena/cafes, you can take your own drinks in, and there’s far less deliniation between arena and campsite than some (but not all one chaotic huge site like glade). You can have a barbecue or fire bucket by your tent as well.

There’s at least 3 stages, and a good bar and dance tent. Sham 69 were a special treat for me this year, tanked up on scrumpy cider…

All in all, it was a great year for a great event. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves here.
