Leeds to London

I have been sent down to London for a meeting with DCLG about Deposit Protection Services recently. This is possibly about the most boring subject in the world, but any excuse to go to That London I guess.

I met a friend there this time, and stayed over the night before, which may account for the lack of photos. I took these before I left Leeds, as I an still quite excited by the Sigma 10-20mm Wide Angle lens.

My Friend works at the Southbank Centre so I wandered down the South Bank again and we went out for Tapas on The Cut before going back to Earlsfield, and staying up far later than one may consider ssensible when meeting with the Government Department at 1pm.

Needless to say, I didn not feel 100%, even after brunch on expenses, and it transpires Goverment Department meetings don’t even provide water, to cut costs, unless the meeting is 4 hours or more.

After this I went to Carnaby Street to go to the Lomography Shop – about all that seems left of what was supposed to be interesting shops – mostly it was chain stores…

The shacks and rough sleeping is right outside DCLG, by the way, which I am sure says something poignant…

I nearly missed my train home, because the clock on St Pancras Station was an hour slow. Shoddy.
