The magic comes from a full kitted out personal studio in my basement, which I have been developing for around 3 years – though the equipment and software choises have been developed over much longer.

The Studio is based around a high spec desktop PC, with a multi-disk configuration for system, samples, instrument libraries and projects. This communicates with the ouside world via an 18 in, 20 out audio interface and Adam monitoring, alongside a channel out to a traditional Hi-Fi amp.
The Workstation runs several main DAWs. My main workhorse for electronic music is Ableton Live Suite v11. I also use Acid Pro v10 for sketching and producing loops and samples with older 32 bit VSTs. For traditional Mixing I use Harrison Mixbus 32C v8, which replicates and models the 32C console in sortware.
I have a large collection of virtual instruments. Most used is Native instruments Komplete 14, which includes the Industry Standard sampler Kontakt 7 and the modular synthesis environment Reaktor 6. I also make substantial use of orchestral (and other) libraries from Spitfire Audio and (to a lesser extent) Orchestral Tools.
For mixing, I use IK Multimedia Mixbox channel strips, and various console emulations from Plugin Alliance.
