Ducks and Flowers

Something I do not do enough at the moment is just grab my camera and wander out to somewhere often very close and take some shots.

I did this the other day, just up to the Grove Lane Pond right near my house, trying to coax a little more life from my dying Tamron 70-300mm lens.

I had to post these sillies. I loved the moorhen nest in the middle of the water and duckweed, and the mother with the adolescent ducklings being quite inquisitive about what I was up to!

Flowers are, of course, also a timeless subject. I used to take a lot of macro flowers and bugs and it is always good to play with thesesimple yet beautiful subjects.
