In the Woods

Having lived in Meanwood (for the second time, and for a few years now) the woods are a constant source of pleasure and inspiration, though I never seem to get up into them as much as I would like. These are a couple of sets from wanders in the woods this year so far.

This first is from April, a walk up to the top end of The Hollies and through into Scotland Woods under the ring road tunnel. What I love about these areas is the rocks and the leftover little bits of long gone industry.

The next few are from Tetleys field and then a walk up from Parkside Road towards Tongue lane. I especially like the graffiti on the rock (not that this is really a good thing) from “taggers” a century apart!
