Dhow, Or Dipping Lug

It’s been a bit quiet here for a few reasons, the run up to Christmas, focussing on renovating my studio, and also the fact that my beloved Epson V500 has died, leaving me without a decent scanner and unable to scan much of what I am producing (I will rant about that at length later).

I got a huge box of free flow acrylics for Christmas, and have been rediscovering this as a medium, playing with various styles and ideas (more on this when I can scan the big ones I have painted)

But for now, here’s just a quick one, a little Canvas I painted ther other day. A small boat (I have called it a Dhow, but my pedantic friend has pointed out it looks more like a Dipping Lug) on a stormy sea.

Dhow is a more romantic sounding word. It’s called artistic license…

LOADS more posts in progress, I have a lot of nice new things to review and play with, from Holbein, Wallace Seymour, and more.
