Much of my early (secondary and further education) was science-oriented, however in later life I switched to Social Science, with a particular interest in visual interpretations of social reality, deviant behaviour and social control, and use of (parafunctional) space.
My photography practice has three main strands: hybrid digital/film techniques, urban space and decay/emotional responses to landscape, and underground nightlife.
My music encompasses electronic and musique concrète, neo-progressive rock, and classical/folk noir scoring.
My artistic practice encompasses impressionist landscapes, textural exploration of media, and visual interpretation of emotional concepts.
The individual and combined strands of my creative practice are informed by my work in the third sector, my experiences in the music a clubbing scenes of Leeds and my research into deviance and use of space.
